What Is Baptism?

Baptism is your next step in following Jesus. It’s a way of going public with your faith and stepping into a new life with Him.

  • A step of obedience to Jesus (Matthew 28:19–20)
  • A public declaration of a personal decision (Romans 10:9–10)
  • A symbol of dying to the old life and rising with Christ (Romans 6:3–4)
  • A celebration of new life in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Baptism Is About…

1. Surrender

Letting go of control and giving your life fully to Jesus.

Galatians 2:20

2. Obedience

Following Jesus, just as He followed the Father.

Matthew 3:13–17; Luke 9:23

3. Belonging

Being connected to the family of God.

1 Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:41–42

Baptism isn’t just washing away the past.
It’s saying, “I’m not going back.”
