Serving: Living Out Our New Identity

Red Letter Challenge – Week 4: Serving
Living Out Our New Identity

Step 1 – Read

Read John 13:3–5, 12–17.

Notice what Jesus does before the cross. He kneels and washes the disciples’ feet—taking the place of the lowest servant in the room. Then He says, “I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.” This week, let His example reshape the way you move through your everyday life.

Step 2 – Reflect

Where in your life do you usually expect to be served rather than serve?
Is there a place God may be inviting you to take the “lower place”?
Who around you might be quietly carrying a burden that you could help lift this week?

Ask Jesus to give you His heart and humility.

Step 3 – One Small Step — Not Homework. An Invitation

This week I will: _______________________________________

Choose one practical way to serve someone this week—at home, at church, at work, or in your neighborhood. Look for a need and meet it quietly, remembering that serving isn’t about recognition. It’s about living out the life of Jesus.
